It’s never about us, but about you

Thanks for visiting us again! Let us know what topics you would like to learn more about. We are here to serve you. Happy Sailing!

You may have seen an image before that shows a triangle has three labels on each leg. It may read speed, service and price or there may be different labels on versions you have seen, but there is usually a sidebar message that says “pick any two”. The point being made is that you can never have all three at once.

The difference between a travel seller and a travel counselor

Images like the above are all over the internet, especially when it comes to travel sales. Unless you are looking at prices every single day, how do you really know you are getting a good “Hot Deal”, “Sale”, or “WOW!”? More importantly, how do you know you are getting a good value. I wanted to take a minute and let you know there are several different ways you can choose to purchase your next vacation. For the purposes of this entry, however, I am just going to concentrate on two different types.

Travel…tropical systems and you

without comments

236px-Tropical_Storm_Ana_(2003)In just an instant, the tropics have changed a great deal as the calendar moves toward the traditional peak of hurricane season. Laura and I wanted you to be aware that there are now three named tropical systems as of this writing. We are monitoring for any disruptions to our client’s travel plans, yet we are also aware that not everyone has booked their travel through us. You can count on us to be an excellent source of information through the coming months of hurricane season. As such, we ask that you forward any of our informational emails to any one you know with travel plans that will taken them into areas that may be affected by a tropical system.

The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony is fast approaching

without comments

We have been continuing our preparations for our ribbon cutting ceremony. We are now less than two weeks away and I managed to have the absolute worst dream about it last night. In my dream I had arrived with none of the collateral I had ordered, for some reason I had to ride a bicycle with a broken chain home and was stopped by a large crowd of my former school class mates all dressed in uniforms. However it seemed just like that Kinks song as boys were dressed up as girls and the girls were dressed up as boys.

A travel agent's life in one week

without comments

“So, just what does an at-home cruise sales agent do all week?” It is a question I am always asked. While it is hard to describe on the spot, I thought I would pick a week from my calendar, add some notes and explanations and demonstrate a week in the life of Chuck Flagg. This reflects the week of March 23-29, 2009.  Most all of my activities outside of my home are completed between 7:15 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.when my daughter is in school. My travel booking and follow up is handled in the afternoons and early evenings and in the empty spaces.
