sailing

What a day it has been. We spent half of the afternoon snorkeling and sailing on Jolly Mon. We had gone out with her in December of 2007.  The owner’s daughter is currently running the boat and she was a delight. She has spent more of her life on this boat and she is a licensed captain. She led us on a 30 minute tour showing us various sea life. We saw turtles and sting rays plus fire coral and other tropical fish. We were then free to snorkel on our own.

No casino love

Tonight is the magic show called, “Now you See It”. This show is at 9 p.m. for Main Seating guests. The plan is to go to the show after picking up my daughter early from Adventure Ocean. From there, we will be heading to bed.

Earlier, I left the Crown & Anchor party as I was unable to find a place to sit. I headed to the casino where I ended up being down another $75. I stopped keeping score. I think now it is about $150 down for the week. I should have stayed at the past guest party.

To the Top of the Wall

without comments

It is just before 1300 and we have done more than most people will do in a day.tada

After breakfast in the main dining room, it was off to get tickets for the ice show. We will be going to the 3pm Matinee performance on Friday (sea day). From there it was off to the rock wall.

I am so proud of my daughter as she made it (with a bit of help from the rope guide) to the top of the Rock Wall. She absolutely persevered and rang the bell. She sure showed her dad a thing or do or three. I always have said that she teaches me something every single day and today was not exception.

The morning and the evening was the second day

without comments

Our second day has come to a close. For those keeping score, I am down $40 at the Casino. Blackjack is my game. To me it is part of my entertainment dollars. By the way, I have not been successful getting my Magic Jack to work and have been unable to make phone calls from the ship using it. Will have to keep working on it.

My daughter loved her first night in the kid’s club. There is just so much to do on this ship that she is having trouble deciding what to do tomorrow. There is ice skating, the rock wall, plus playing with her friends.

Swimming with the Jellies

without comments

cocoafreedomAfter a three hour visit to CocoCay, we returned to the ship before the on shore BBQ. During one of our swims, we managed to get both stung by a school of traveling jellyfish. Not very fun.

Before our stay ended, we managed to spend an hour on the waterslide on the island. The island is barely a spit of land, but more than perfect for a private beach experience. Tonight is formal night, I hope to get a picture or two of my daughter and I all gussied up.
