Is it safe to travel to Mexico? Are the resort areas of Mexico safe? These are questions I get from clients on a daily basis. News reports about drug cartel violence are scaring tourists away from Mexico in droves. There are many resort areas that are well isolated from the violence. Their economy is suffering and the resorts are offering incredible values to entice people to come visit, stay and play. From the Riviera Maya on the Caribe side of Mexico to the Pacific coast, there are several resort areas just waiting for you to come visit.

Our Mediterranean Cruise was one of our most memorable experiences. Admittedly it only gave us a taste of some of the treasures of southern Europe and the western Med because our time in ports was limited. We think you should make it a point to get yourself on a European cruise this year and here are seven reason why cruising Europe has never been more affordable:

  1. There are so many ships in the Mediterranean that you can almost walk from Barcelona to Naples and not get your feet wet. Every line is offering an incentive to book from reduced deposits to on-board credits to large discounts.

One of the benefits of working with us is that you get not only our knowledge of particular cruise lines, ships and destinations, you also get the benefits of the relationships we have forged with suppliers over the years. In addition, we have taken the same cruises; visited the same ports; stayed at the same resorts that we recommend. We often take many trips not as travel agents, but as consumers. While there are perks to our business and offers of reduced rates trips and tours of a destination at the supplier’s expense, you don’t get a sense of what our customers will experience unless you have done it yourself. We make it our goal to experience at least one trip a year without identifying ourselves as travel agents.

Going for the cheaper option could cost you

We all love finding a bargain don’t we? Did you know when it comes to cruises and other vacations going for the cheaper option could cost you? You could end up paying more in the long run because you were so focused on price. I am not just talking about spending more money. I am also talking about the cost to your vacation experience.

The value of a travel agent

The Office of a traveling Travel Agent

The Office of a traveling Travel Agent

A common question I get asked has to do with the value of a travel agent in the age of instant information and the ability to do everything yourself. At first I respond with the fact that a Google search on Caribbean cruise just turned up over 5.8 million results.

A travel agent can help you separate the wheat from the chaff and is far more valuable than just a method to book your next vacation. A great travel agent:
