Wine Cellar Dining on Celebrity Infinity

Wine Cellar Dining on Celebrity Infinity

When it comes to a special cruise ship meal: you always remember your first time. The year was 2004 and we were sailing on Celebrity Infinity for our first cruise to Alaska. We had heard about the specialty restaurant on board called SS United States. We were parents of a then 15 month old and getting to eat a hot meal in the main dining room was a luxury in itself. However here we were able to enjoy a really slow meal meant to allow you to savor your food.

Are you an oenophile who loves to cruise? Today we look at some options for shore excursions for wine lovers.

The world has so many wonderful winemaking regions – do you think will you ever manage to visit them all? If you’re a cruise enthusiast, perhaps you will. Cruise ships call on a number of ports in or near some of the world’s best-known and emerging wine regions. Additionally, many cruise lines offer shore excursions specifically designed for the appreciation and tasting of local wines.

Hotel arrival

without comments

After just over an eight hour drive through some pretty torrential rain in the downtown Atlanta area, my daughter and I have arrived at the Residence Inn on Cocoa Beach, FL. We are staying at one of the closest hotels to the cruise terminals.

They asked when we checked in if we would be interested in parking here for free for the week (at our own risk), however the shuttle for Royal Caribbean does not leave until 11:30. We are planning on getting to the pier between 10:30-11am. We also will want to get on the road as quickly as possible upon our return. Our decision will cost us $105 for the week for parking at the port. I wonder if this decision will be the smart one.

Spending when onboard a cruise ship

without comments

For the purpose of this entry, I will be writing about the mass market cruise lines. There are several truly all inclusive luxury lines where just about everything on the cruise is included in the price of the cruise fare. If you happen to be one of those types of client, let’s talk today. ;)
