Greetings from the JW Marriott Ihilani Resort and Spa at Ko Olina, Hawaii. We have spent seven amazing day touring three of the Hawaiian Islands on Pride of America. We are so enthralled with Hawai’i that we are thinking of extended our stay a few extra days!

When you take a cruise of Hawai’i onboard Pride of America, you get the most economical means of visiting three of the Hawaiian Islands (four if you consider the fact that you sail from Honolulu on O’ahu.) We had an amazing time. One should note that this ship does not offer a 5-star luxury experience. However, I feel that the destination especially in this case is far more important that the journey.

Freestyle Cruising is not for everyone, including myself who really likes the more traditional method of cruising. Laura and I really prefer to sit at one set dining time with the same waitstaff night after night who remembers your preferences. Don’t let that dissuade you from taking this cruise. We had an amazing time. We made memories as a family that will last a lifetime. From freezing our butts off as the sun came up over Mt. Haleakala, to fishing off the coast of Kona, to witnessing awesome sunset after sunset, we would do this cruise again in a heartbeat. We will be cruising NCL again next November in a Haven Suite.
