Disney Dream: Restaurants…Characters and around the ship Photos
From Sunday February 19, 2012 and Thursday February 23, 2012, my daughter, my wife and I sailed for four nights on Disney Dream. We visited Nassau, Bahamas and Castaway Cay, Disney Cruise Line’s private island in the Bahamas. We were in stateroom 5038 on Deck Five on the port side of the ship forward of the lifeboats. I will be posting a full review on Sunday, but I wanted to show you photos from the Restaurants, of the characters and around the ship. Enjoy!
Day Four onboard Disney Dream

Laura and our daughter riding the AquaDuck on Disney Dream
Greetings from Day Four onboard Disney Dream. Today was a day at sea and the ship barely moved in the water. We slept in almost 8 this morning. Grabbed breakfast and found a place by the pool to spend the day. Unfortunately for Laura but fortunately for me, we were only able to find a place in the shade. I guess you have to scout out your chairs by the pool much earlier (as will all ships on a sea day.)
Day Three onboard Disney Dream
Greetings from Day Three onboard Disney Dream. We were docked at Disney’s private island in the Bahamas, Castaway Cay today.
Just after uploading last night’s blog entry, Laura and I were getting ready to explore some of the adults areas around the ship. However, we got a text on the in-room WAVE phones (no extra charge, but $250 charge if you fail to return then or if they go swimming). Our daughter was ready to leave the Oceaneer’s Club. Sighhhhhh. We headed off to the club and as we were picking her up, one of the Youth Counselor’s said she was a bit tired. This was so not our daughter. During the walk back to our room, we were told the real reason for the early pick-up.
Day Two onboard Disney Dream
Greetings from Day Two onboard Disney Dream. We were docked in Nassau, Bahamas today. It was our first time here. We made arrangements for a site inspection of Atlantis at Paradise Island and arranged for discounted tickets to the AquaAdventure. Yes it was working day for me, but as we are from the Atlanta area we do get inquiries about the resort. I will publish a separate review upon my return.
Day One onboard Disney Dream

Deck Squeegee on Disney Dream
Greetings from Day One onboard Disney Dream. We have sailed away from Port Canaveral and the onscreen report from the bridge shows us on a course of SE. We are sailing to Nassau in the Bahamas and should be onshore around 9:30. We were onboard around 11:45 and having cruised before, we knew to wear our swimsuits so we could go straight to the pool. Not only did we get to experience the pools, we got to ride the AquaDuck water slide a few times. We were glad we did, by the time most were onboard, the line got pretty long. One nice touch was that there were several crew members constantly running a squeegee over the pool deck. Talk about unsung heroes of a cruise.
