Can I get a free cruise
The number one question I get a cruise consultant is, “Can I get a free cruise?” My answer is always the same, “Yes,” but it will take some work. We are looking for someone who would be an incredible group leader. He or she could sell hair-cuts to bald men, ice to eskimos, or convince Larry the Cable Guy that he could be King of England. Perhaps you are someone like this or know someone who is like this. Someone like this does not want to get into the nuts and bolts of picking staterooms, processing credit card payments, or handling paperwork, but they LOVE to travel and would love to lead a group.
If you are willing to be a group leader or a pied piper, you could potentially have your part or all of your cruise paid. Many cruise lines will award the value of one bed in a room as a credit against the total cost you must pay as a group leader. This does not include the cost of a second person in your stateroom, taxes, fees and other costs of your cruise.
When you work with a cruise specialist such as myself, you have the potential to have all of your cruise costs paid for one stateroom for you and a guest including taxes and fess. With my company you must bring a total of 50 people along with you filling a minimum of 25 staterooms. While this may sound like an unreachable goal, it is not as hard as it sounds. We have had groups of church members, rotary members, Bunko players, quilters and scrapbookers and other affinity groups sail together. You could also be a part of a large real estate office or in the medical profession going through continuing education. As I was writing this, I was approached to put together a proposal for a group of poker players.
I want to be clear that cruising as a group leader for free is far different than those postcards or phone calls you may have received promising a “FREE CRUISE”. I will talk about that scam in a different post. When you are leading a group and bringing others to cruise along with you. yet it is possible to get a free cruise. If you would like to discuss options on leading a group, I would love to schedule an appointment with you!
