There is a law that says if you write a blog, you must do a retrospective blog post on events of the past year as it applies to your blog. Since I have never been a scofflaw, what follows is a look back at travels with The Flagg Agency in 2010.

Our travels began in February with our first Dad and Daughter cruise of the year on Crown Princess. The cruise was a Saturday to Saturday cruise. Failing to follow the advice I give every client, I made arrangements to fly in the day of the cruise during the middle of winter. As luck would have it, a winter ice storm paralyzed Atlanta and at 11:45 the night before we received information that our flight was canceled. We began what amounted to a 14 hour car journey to Fort Lauderdale.

April brought our first experience with Norwegian Cruise Line as Mom traveled our daughter on Norwegian Star. They cruised the Mexican Riviera from the Port of Los Angeles (San Pedro, CA).

Soccer and swim team occupied our May and June and then Laura and I were invited to a 2-night preview cruise of Norwegian Epic. It was a cruise to nowhere and we were privileged to be invited this unique ship with its amazing entertainment offerings.

The day after flying home from Miami, we left Atlanta for Fairbanks, Alaska for our 12 night Celebrity CruiseTour with my mother and sister-in-law and niece and of course our daughter. This was our second visit to Alaska and truly a delight to behold. You should have it on your bucket list if you don’t already.

September brought changes to our personal living situation as Laura was transferred to the DC area for a temporary assignment. My daughter and I took our next dad and daughter trip but this time it was to a land vacation. We stayed at the all-inclusive Club Med Cancun resort. It was a different experience for us and we enjoyed it. It was really special to be at Chichen Itza during the Vernal Equinox.

In late October, Laura spent 12 days in New Dehli, India on a work assignment. She will be returning there in 2011, but we will share more about that in the coming weeks.

Early November took Laura and I to the Riviera Maya for our convention at the El Dorado Royale. Thanksgiving week had my daughter coming up to visit Laura and tour Washington, D.C. Perfect weather indeed.

Now at the end of the year, Laura has been able to spend a full week with her family and it has been wonderful. What will 2011 hold for us? Visit tomorrow and find out. By the way, we would love to serve you in planning travel such as we experienced or in helping you make dreams and memories of your own!
