One of these days I will again visit Pompeii
One of thee days I will again visit Pompeii. One of the greatest memories of our Western Mediterranean cruise was our stop at Naples and our visit to Pompeii. This 15 acre complex was devastated by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D.
Even today, concerts and other events are presented in the amphitheater. In October, 1971, Pink Floyd recorded three songs live without an audience.

A bag of butterscotch candies
Any travel agent will tell you that they are different, but most of the time you will find they are all the same as a bag of butterscotch candies. Truth be told, we are all selling the same products to the same destinations from all of the same suppliers.
Online agencies can entice you with offers of pre-paid gratuities, shipboard credits, or bottles of wine. Many of these offers are great for the DIY’er who needs no hand-holding; knows exactly what he or she wants; and is adept at navigating all of the rules and regulations traveling by ship.
Why would I pay a travel agent a fee
Here’s a question I receive from time to time: “Why would I pay a travel agent a fee when I can get all of the information I am seeking for free?” Allow me to take the time to explain that we do not charge a booking fee. Our clients pay us a fee for the professional services we provide them.
The river cruise experience
Today I wanted to spend a few minutes writing about the river cruise experience. Did you know one of the best ways to experience the history and culture of certain parts of the world is by taking a river cruise? Don’t get me wrong, I love cruising on an ocean going ship! However, today I want to share a different way to cruise.
