If it is Thursday it must be Anchorage
It is still bright and I am a bit lost for where I am, but if it is Thursday it must be Anchorage.

The quirky town of Talkeetna
Ever watch the show Northern Exposure? This will give you just a smidgen of insight into the quirky town of Talkeetna!
Talkeetna has traditionally been the jumping off point for attempting to climb Mt. McKinley. It is a block long of a town and this afternoon’s train stop. One of the benefits of this stop and a Royal Celebrity Tour is that the lodge they contract with is a two mile walk (uphill) from the town. The lodge the other line’s use is about a 40 minute drive one way. Another reason for using a travel agent to find you the right cruise and tour for you and your family as well as for setting expectations.
Playing in the Mud
Before we left Denali National Park on Wednesday, we spent the morning playing in the mud. My wife, my daughter, our niece and I had all opted for an optional excursion of ATV riding.
We were picked up by a van at our lodge and driven to another cruise line’s lodge where we boarded a bus to Healy about 10 miles away. Interestingly, one person got on with a walker and my wife and I both wondered if she too was going to be ATV-ing!
