Anticipating Norwegian Epic
I am writing this on our flight down to FL for our two day cruise to nowhere aboard the brand new Norwegian Epic. On June 18, 2010, NCL took from STX FRANCE SA. located in St. Nazaire, France. Norwegian Epic tips the scale at 153,000 gross tons.
This will be my first ever experience with Freestyle Cruising. Laura and my daughter took a cruise this past April on Norwegian Star in the Mexican Riviera from Los Angeles. I am very excited to experience a new ship, but a new (to me) style of cruising. Norwegian Cruise Lines has been innovative in the cruise industry and many other lines have elements of the cruise experience first pioneered by NCL.
I had a chance to interview Andy Stuart, VP of Global Sales, a few months ago for a travel agent oriented website. Little did I know I would have a chance to experience Norwegian Epic in person so soon after our interview. I am looking forward to meeting @nclandy as he is known on Twitter in person. Laura and I hope you enjoy our journey over the next two days. Be sure to check back often for updates. By the way, if able I will be uploading first impressions and photos to my twitter stream. You can see those by following @theflaggagency
Book a balcony stateroom on Norwegian Epic from now until August 1, you can receive an upgrade to a deluxe balcony as well as up to a $150 onboard credit. The 2011 cruise season from May-October will have Norwegian Epic sailing a series of seven-day Western Mediterranean cruises from Barcelona.
