Budgeting for extras on your next cruise

with one comment

By the time you have paid for your cruise, you have pre-paid for around 85% of the total cost of your holiday. However, what is the best way for budgeting for extras on your next cruise? Consider that the cost of your next cruise includes everything you need for a wonderful vacation at sea: a comfortable stateroom, delicious food, engaging entertainment and lots of onboard amenities, from pools and hot tubs to kids’ clubs and nightclubs.

I

I have a new girlfriend and her name is Diane…as in Steak Diane. On our cruise on Celebrity Millennium, we ate at the Olympic specialty restaurant for a date night.

Our first experience with specialty dining onboard a ship was on our first cruise on Celebrity Infinity when we did a seven night cruise to Alaska from Vancouver.

I am addicted to Deadliest Catch

Hi my name is chuck and I am addicted to Deadliest Catch.

Hi Chuck!

On Wednesday, we were docked in Ketchikan, AK and we had the chance to go out on the Aleutian Ballad which was featured in season 2 of Deadliest Catch. If you are a fan or have ever watched, this was the boat that was hit by a rogue wave during the season. They were lucky to be alive and with very few injuries.

I could see stars again

without comments

For the first time since this cruisetour began, last night I could see stars again. We are heading further south and as such the sun is setting earlier and it is getting dark.  Dark of course instead of dusk or twilight we have been experiencing since Sunday over a week ago in Fairbanks.

The youngest child to ride the longest zipline

without comments

YouTube Preview Image

According to the operators at Icy Strait Point, my daughter, at age seven, became the youngest child to ride the long zipline in the world today since they have been in operation.

Icy Strait Point is located near the Tlingit village of Hoonah in southeastern Alaska. A few ships and lines call on this port. In fact, as I starting writing this entry, Celebrity Mercury pulled up just behind us. The last tender should have just come back and we will depart at about 3pm.
