Mommy and Daughter Cruise Day 5

Puerto Vallarta

I survived!  Every bone and muscle in body aches, but I am still alive.  Today, my daughter chose for us to go  zip lining.  I have never done this before so needless to say I was nervous.  Let me back up and start from the beginning.

It was day 4 and my wife and daughter sailing on Norwegian Star visited Mazatlan, Mexico. Here is their report:

Mazatlan

It was a beautiful day in paradise. Let me tell you about our day.

We started early and headed to the main terminal to meet our guide, Elise.  She is from Vancouver and has been here for about 6 years.  We met up with another couple from Holland America which was also in port.  Elise guided us to a van and then we took a short drive where we picked up a water taxi to take us to our final destination – Stone Island.  The other couple travelling with us was celebrating their 10^th anniversary.

My wife and daughter are currently sailing on Norwegian Star from Los Angeles down the Mexican Riviera. It sounds like they are having a wonderful time.

Cabo San Lucas

Well I survived my day at sea with my daughter.  We have gone through our trials and tribulations with it being just the two of us.   All in all things have gone well and I wouldn’t change anything yet that we have experienced.  Today we dock, well tender, in Cabo San Lucas.  I have wanted to visit this destination since my teens and I finally made it.

Freestyle Cruising means we can dress up if we want to!

Mommy and daughter cruise Day 2

After spending the morning exploring and writing our first blog entry, I went to pick up the chad at the kids club.  I was about 45 minutes late as I told her she would only be there two hours. Afterwards we went to the room to put our swimsuits on and we found a table not far away.  We spent the next 4 hours at the pool.  It started off cloudy and ended up being a beautiful day.  I did finally break down and get in the pool with the child.  Norwegian Star features saltwater pools, which are not my favorite.

Mom sent a quick update and a few pictures of their first day onboard. As of this writing, there has been no mention of the earthquake that hit Baja California. Thank you again for virtually cruising with us. If you have any questions for them, be sure to leave a comment!

Our daughter says the Easter Bunny brought her lots of money and a bathing suit cover up and a journal.  There are a few other things including a little candy which she doesn’t like much.  I am going to let her draw on the computer while I shower. We have decided to dress up tonight.
