There are many places you can choose to handle your vacation plans. Online agencies like Exp***a and Trav*****ty specialize in high-volume discounted travel.For cruises, these agencies sometimes have access to group amenities and can offer special perks with your booking. Other times, they are willing to make a lower commission by rebating some of their earnings in the form of an on-board credit for you and your party. There are also many cruise ship sailings we can offer the same types of perks. If you are flexible with your travel plans we can and often do find amazing values along with special perks.
Many of the online agencies are more than happy to take your money without ever having a consultation with you. They may never know if the trip costing you thousands of dollars is or was the right trip for you and your family. We has never been a discounter. Being cheap is easy. Consistently creating fantastic stress free cruise experiences for hundreds of people is harder. We would rather be known for the latter. What we can do is provide you with service before during and after your cruise vacation. Someone whose primary consideration is pricing when choosing whom to do business with is not the best fit for us.
We concentrate on finding the best value for your money. We are engaged with pricing on a daily basis so that we can and do alert our clients to significant savings and value when we note it. We always encourage our clients after we give them a quote to shop what we have found, but we advise them to make sure they are comparing apples to apples. We also ask them to try to contact those online agencies by email and phone when booking. We then tell them to imagine trying to get in touch with them in case of an emergency or other service interruption. We know of cases where the pre-cruise hotel was not as advertised; “included” transportation to the port merely involved the hotel calling a shuttle bus; or a missed upgrade or savings on a particular cruise. For someone who does not know how to read deck plans or has never been on a cruise or particular line, they can get on a ship and hate the experience before even leaving port. If that happens, it will never matter how much they saved.
We think that cruising is one of the best values for your vacation dollar. Of course we would love to be your cruise consultant, but we understand if we are not the best fit for you. Our advice though is to just get you and your family on a cruise now instead of waiting no matter which way you book it. Just be sure you know exactly what it is you are purchasing and who your purchasing it from.
Travel is a cut throat business. No matter what price we quote, there will always be someone willing to discount our price in order to make the sale. To be able to provide the level of service we do, getting involved in those types of practices is not possible. Since being cheap is easy, we would rather be known for being the best for servicing our valued clients.
