Mommy and daughter cruise Day 2
Laura and my daughter are currently sailing on board Norwegian Star from Los Angeles down the Mexican Riviera. This is their report from Day 2.
Mommy and daughter cruise Day 2
After spending the morning exploring and writing our first blog entry, I went to pick up the chad at the kids club. I was about 45 minutes late as I told her she would only be there two hours. Afterwards we went to the room to put our swimsuits on and we found a table not far away. We spent the next 4 hours at the pool. It started off cloudy and ended up being a beautiful day. I did finally break down and get in the pool with the child. Norwegian Star features saltwater pools, which are not my favorite.
We headed back to the room to relax for a while before getting dressed up. It is a freestyle cruise so they let you dress up if you want. This is one of the things that I enjoy from time to time so I was glad when my daughter obliged my request.
We hit a few picture booths to get a few snaps done. It was time to get some dinner. Unfortunately, there was plenty of waiting tonight. We went to Versailles first and it was a madhouse. We headed down to Aqua to put our name on the list. Again we wanted to sit with others however we were seated out our own table again. I have to say I was quite proud of my girl as she had the Oxtail Broth, steak, baked potato and apple pie. I had the crunchy spring rolls, Beef Wellington and Honey Crème Brulee. The appetizer and the dessert was the best part.
We headed from dinner straight to the theater to check the 9:45 show. We arrived as the first show ended. We got seats on the first row which is what she wanted. We only had to stay awake and be patient until it started over an hour later. It helped that we met some new friends that we chatted with. We will try to get on their excursion in the morning.
Showtime finally arrived, and I do say it was well worth the wait. The show was name Pacific Cirque. The Chinese Acrobats were phenomenal. We made it back to the room and we are settled in for some well deserved sleep. Night all! Here are a few pictures from the day!

Look for a new report tomorrow from the two favorite women in my life. Thank you for cruising virtually with them. By the way, we refer to our daughter as “the Chad” for two reasons. One is for internet privacy and two because she frequently refers to herself by that name. Want to learn more about Norwegian Cruise Line and Freestyle cruising? Check out this link.
