What is National Passport Day
Are you planning travel outside the United States? Have you been delaying obtaining or renewing your passport? We wanted to let you know that March 27th has been designated as National Passport Day in the US. There is more information included at the following link, to located a passport acceptance office near you that will be participating.
The best thing about this event is that no appointment will be required to apply for a US passport at a regional passport agency. As we also have been reading about possible increases in fees for a new passport or a renewal, we think this would also be a perfect reason to take advantage of National Passport Day. We recommend a passport for all of our cruise clients, and we encourage you to use this opportunity to check when your current passport may expire. Remember, your passport must be valid for six months after your dates of travel for most international destinations.

Passport Day in The USA is great if you need a passport and aren’t in a hurry to get one. However, if you do need a passport in a hurry, be aware that even the expedited service you order at this event will still take 3 weeks. If you need it sooner, you need to either go to a Regional Passport Agency office (nearest one is probably in FL) or use a private expediting company like RushMyPassport.com.

Thank you for the comments. Yes that is great advice about expedited service. Hopefully those who have passports that are expiring or have been waiting to get theres will at least take a look at them now and go apply for their passport.
