The Princess Cruises Experience
Let me tell you a little about the Princess Cruises’ Experience. I would describe it as elegance with a bit of UK sensibility. The chad and I are in an inside stateroom on Deck 12 (Aloha) onboard Crown Princess. The room has plenty of storage. In fact there is an open area which would normally be a closet on other cruise ships but serves a wonderful purpose for storing luggage out of the way. However there is also plenty of room under the beds as well for some of our luggage. Yes once again, we managed to over pack! The beds are really comfortable. The shower is small and has a shower curtain that has become quite friendly with me.
Princess Cruises has self service laundries onboard as many of its journeys are over 14 days in length. You can of course send your clothes out to be cleaned, but there is a dedicated Laundromat on most decks.
I asked the Chad what she thought of the Kid’s program and she said it was great. There are 9 kids her age and she has managed to make new friends. My daughter, the social butterfly, can always make new friends.
In a first for me personally, our stateroom attendant, Rey, knocked on our stateroom door the first day we were here and introduced himself. He has been very visible and managed to keep the room nice and tidy and left me extra pool towels as requested. I am what some call “fluffy”-sized so it is nice to have more than what on me is a washcloth to use to dry off.
I did not book in time to get an assigned dining time. You can call the DINE line (different phone number on each ship) each day to get a dining time and dining room assignment. There may be a way to arrange with your Maitre’d the same wait staff, table and dining room, but I have not done that at this time. You can always show up without a reservation, but there can be a way. The 7pm hour for Anytime Dining is a very popular dining time.
The ship is just now turning away from Grand Cayman bound for Roatan. If you have specific questions about the Princess Cruises’ experience, leave them in the comments are send me an email for information on our post-cruise conference call. Below you will find a few more pictures from our wonderful visit to Grand Cayman.
