Our cruise is a day away
Crown Princess Western Caribbean
I have been writing so much in recent days about our upcoming dad and daughter cruise, yet I realized that I have not shared where we are going. Tomorrow, we will be boarding Crown Princess for a seven night cruise from Fort Lauderdale. After a day at sea on Sunday, we will be tendering at Grand Cayman on Monday. Should the weather hold and we actually get to get onto the island, we will be swimming with the Sting Rays out at Sting Ray City. On Tuesday, we stop at the island of Roatan, Honduras where I will be watching my daughter zipline through the jungle.
Wednesday will bring us to Cozumel. We have no set plans for Cozumel. We have been here many times and there are times when you just want to enjoy the ship to yourself! It is one of the wonderful things about cruising. You can do as much or as little as you want to. It is your vacation. Thursday is a day at sea and Friday will bring us to Princess Cays. It is Princess Cruises private island in the Bahamas. We return next Saturday.
This cruise coincides with Valentine’s Day and as it turns out that Princess Cruises is hosting is first ever Romance Summit while we are on board. We will get a chance to meet Ryan and Tristan from The Bachelorette as well as Gavin MacLeod who played Captain Stubing on The Love Boat.
For the moment, I am watching the snow get closer and closer to our home. It looks like it is a fast moving system. This serves as a reminder that you should always get travel insurance before a cruise. You never know what the weather is going to be doing.
