It is Midnight on the Oasis of the Seas

Captain Bill Wright and Chuck Flagg
It is Midnight on the Oasis of the Seas and the party on board is just getting started. We have been going since before 5AM this morning to get showered for our flight and as Cruise Director Ken Rush told us, we can sleep when we get home.
We have toured staterooms in a variety of categories from the luxurious Royal Loft Suite to the more modest Family Ocean View staterooms. I am sitting typing this in my ocean view balcony stateroom next to the door which is open. I can hear the gentle lapping of the ocean waves against the ship. What a way to fall asleep, but not yet.
Everyone will have a favourite place on board and I can tell you that so far mine is Central Park at night. It is so beautifully lit. I want to take my camera and small tripod to try to capture its unique beauty. Live foliage on board a cruise ship is really the most serene experience.
The weather is a bit cool but that is normal for being just off the coast of Fort Lauderdale/Miami in November. I am going to do a bit more exploring and picture taking. By the way, to get a sense of scale, here is a picture of Oasis of the Seas from the air as we were landing in Fort Lauderdale.
