A Meeting at Sea

When and where was the last meeting you attended? Was at a hotel ballroom? Maybe you planned an incentive trip at a resort, but then had a hard time finding your staff to announce a major product launch. Have you ever considered holding a meeting at sea?
Just last week I was cruising with my daughter on Royal Caribbean’s Freedom of the Seas, and I made a point to take some photographs of the fantastic conference facilities on this cruise ship. In your per attendee cruise package fare, you get all meals included as well as accommodations. You are able to get access to a state-of-the-art conference facility based on availability. In center set-ups of pastries and refreshments are a fraction of the cost of a land based hotel.

The conference center on Freedom of the Seas is able to accommodate up to 350 guests. This space has collapsible walls that can further divide the space into four separate conference rooms. Perfect for those breakout sessions.

Also included on this ship is a screening room which can accommodate up to 56 guests.
Many ships have meeting facilities. While some may not be as luxurious as those found on Freedom of the Seas, we can help you find a ship that meets your needs. The Celebrity Solstice class of ships have 12 different spaces which can be used as a meeting space. Sometimes lounges and areas of the dining rooms can be made private to accommodate smaller groups. Or even a card room can be used to hold your meeting.
Another option should you require an even larger space is to use the theater found on board most cruise ships. Just be aware if you plan to hold a meeting in the afternoon in the theater, you better be prepared to charter the entire ship. You don’t mess with BINGO on a cruise ship and that game is frequently played in the afternoons in the main theater.
