Day 1 of the Daddy-daughter cruise comes to a close
The day has come to an end. My daughter is in bed and slowly getting ready to fall asleep. I should be soon to follow.
We ran into our neighbors as we were coming into the dining room. What a nice surprise to run until such a nice family. This is their first time on this ship. I am sure they will have a great time.
Dinner was a table of nine including my daughter and I, my friends and their three kids, and a couple from San Jose, California. I have to say it will be nice to drop them off for early dinner tomorrow at the Windjammer and to Adventure Ocean.
We watched the Welcome Aboard show which was at 7:30 for both dinner seatings. It featured an amazing acrobat pair from Sweden. A return to our stateroom after dinner included finding our luggage had been delivered. Every piece of “my stuff” now is in its place.
I have to say that I am glad we have a Promenade View stateroom versus a inside stateroom. There just does not seem to be quite enough space for the extra things we have brought. Some of my daughter’s clothes are on the sofa next to the bay window of the PR stateroom. I probably could find more space for it if I really looked, but this works just fine for us.
Tomorrow we anchor at CocaCay, Bahamas at 7a.m. and the first tender leaves at 7:30. I ended up paying for the all day pass at the WaterSlide for $20 per person. I wish it was included in the price of the stateroom, but c’est la vie.
Royal Caribbean has a new store on the Royal Promenade called Pets At Sea. The concept looks similar to Build a Bear. I promised my daughter I will let her pick out an animal of her very own choosing.
