Cruising: The Perfect Family Vacation
A good friend wanted to share her thoughts why cruising is the perfect family vacation. I bring you a guest blogger for this entry:
Our family loves cruises. We have been on many cruises– from Carnival to Disney! Finding a vacation that provides entertainment for all ages, private accommodations (if you’ve ever shared a condo with the in-laws, you know what I am talking about), and a variety of scenic venues is nearly impossible. Cruises also provide a plethora of inclusive dining choices not to mention, an attentive staff to take care of you. I still miss Gavin (our last room steward) from time to time.
A short flight or drive to a southern port and a few days to a week floating on the azure blue seas and lounging on the white sand beaches of the Caribbean is a wonderful family get-a-way, wedding or reunion. Across the globe, Mediterranean cruises provide the opportunity to “sample” bits of Europe and experience multiple countries in a week or two. And although I insisted on playing the “Speak Italian” CD non-stop for weeks prior to the trip, my son pointed out that everyone speaks English on the ship! Molto Buono (very good)!
Be forewarned – having an advocate who knows the business is key in getting the most for your money. There are so many options! We learned the hard way that working with an expert who can help you find the cruise experience that best suits your needs will ensure a wonderful trip and lasting memories of a perfect family vacation!
