We share our passion for the cruise experience

The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony is fast approaching

without comments

We have been continuing our preparations for our ribbon cutting ceremony. We are now less than two weeks away and I managed to have the absolute worst dream about it last night. In my dream I had arrived with none of the collateral I had ordered, for some reason I had to ride a bicycle with a broken chain home and was stopped by a large crowd of my former school class mates all dressed in uniforms. However it seemed just like that Kinks song as boys were dressed up as girls and the girls were dressed up as boys.

“Why even have a ribbon cutting ceremony in the first place?” people have asked. Well I see opportunity when everyone else sees despair and dismay. Many many organizations have cut back on their marketing budget. I am a student of history and realize that some of the most successful ventures in history started during depressed economic conditions. I can see that the product I market is still filling their ships. People are still traveling in huge numbers.

To me, the need to create a buzz and excitement about a successful business is a must. As a member of my chamber of commerce, I have the ability to use their facility for a ribbon cutting ceremony even though I operate a home based office. Personally, I prefer to refer myself as virtual or the cruise agent who makes office calls. I truly work outside from my home base than I do in it.

I wish you could all come join us. We are setting up the ceremony to give just a sample of the cruise experience. Specifically we want our guests to imagine themselves on a Mediterranean cruise. We are featuring a menu of Mediterranean themed gourmet bites. We think an ice sculpture will help set the mood. People won’t be in a banquet facility, but being taken away on an culinary adventure.   I hope you understand that you of course are welcome to join us, we just need an RSVP by 5pm on Friday, August 7th.
