You know how people talk
As of yesterday, I am now a small business owner. We met with the franchisee and his wife and signed the agreement and paid him for his franchise.
On Monday, my wife and I will sign the franchise agreement and return it to the franchise. I will then leave for Miami the first week of August for initial training. I cannot wait to get started.
The spending of money continues in earnest. We have purchased more office supplies and our home office is beginning to take shape as to meet the IRS definition of “exclusive use”.
I met with a lady who is going to help us market our business. It will be costly, but hopefully it will be an effective form of advertising for us. I also have contacts with other networking and referral organizations to meet with in the coming weeks. I have emails to write to all of the contacts I was given, so I best get to that. Sitting here at my kitchen table until the move to the office has too many distractions. I keep watching the birds out my bay window. The house is quiet as my wife and daughter are out doing girly things and I should take advantage of the silence!
