I'll be ready when my feet touch ground
Sorry for the lack of updates, this thing called summer is getting in my way. I had another talk with the general manager for franchise relations on Friday to get more of my questions answered. We are moving forward to my purchase by mid-July.
I am now spending time researching mobile phone options. I have been leaning to the new iPhone coming out on July 11th. It is either that or a Moto Q. I need to go hold them both in my hand before making a decision. Of course with Bluetooth, it is not that critical how it feels, but sometimes my ear piece is not charged. I am just very interested in 3G instead of EDGE.
My attorney has looked over the franchise agreement and talked about 15 items that I needed to make a note of or ask questions about. She is not trying to talk me out of making this purchase, but instead making me aware of these items in the agreement. She does not want me to get to a point where I say “Uh, I didn’t know that”. This is why she makes the big bucks. 
I got my first piece of mail today as my checks arrived. It almost seems that this is now real because of the fact that I got actual mail for the business. It just would be nice to see some income, but that will come. I truly believe it will.
The other big news is that I have canceled our cruise to Hawaii or have stared to cancel it. We are going on a convention cruise in September and another cruise in December and just need to use the funds earmarked for our Hawaiian October cruise. We have had that one booked since January of 2007 and were really looking forward to it. Luckily, the island is not going anywhere. We might be able to go there for far less than we were paying as one of the perks, or we might be able to write off the trip at a later date!
